Twitter to receive close to 100 million in funding

Come on, 100 million USD for a social site with very little scope to make money. It appears Twitter is happy to stop loosing so much by securing seed money when they should be looking to capitalize now and actual turn cash flow positive. I suspect we will be seeing quite a lot of changes to twitter. They need to start generating revenue. There has been speculation about charging for commercial accounts. This does partly make sense, but how do you know when a user is commercial. My solution is simple, offer everyone the option to upgrade to commercial accounts, and if they do so they receive additional features. One such feature will be the ability to target users with your tweets.

Frankly how a site that offers so little can be so highly valued is beyond me.
